What I've Been Up to Recently

First and foremost, the previous post I mentioned about changing my Chinese name. Yes, I've seen the Fengshui master. He suggested that I'll change my name from Hui Jing to Yi Hui (惠) which will help me to have better luck in people relations. Be it love or career wise. The name was also said to be better for me in the next couple of years.

The master didn't really said much about my name as he said my name's rating is 75% which is pretty good. Some of my colleagues had 0% rating. hahaha. Most of the leaders and above colleagues seeked advise through the session and they said the master was really accurate. He could spot on their character without them saying a word.

There is a 90% chance that I will be changing my name and I'll get my deed poll done by next month. Still thinking if I should add a christian name in my IC.

Secondly, I'm never a fan of actresses from China. However recently, this chinese actress, Liu Shishi from Scarlet Heart(步步驚情) really caught my attention. I think she acted pretty well and she looked super gorgeous in olden dynasty costumes than modern look. That explains why she is involved in so many dynasty-genre of dramas. Funny thing is I only love the characters that she portrayed in the dramas rather than her real-life character. haha. I can't wait for her upcoming dramas which will only be aired next year!

To prevent myself from watching too much dynasty-related dramas, I would pull myself back to modern days by watching some variety shows from Taiwan. I found this variety show called, "爱哟我的妈" whereby celebrities would share their paranormal encounters. I know right, watching this kind of shows during the 7th month. Sometimes I would really feel scared while watching during the night but I think this has became my bed time story. Ok, I sounded really sick here. haha.

I thing I hate about watching dramas is the emptiness that one would feel after having a few days of sleepless nights and once you have finished watching the drama, you doesn't know what else to do. The only good thing was that, at least now I don't OT so often anymore. lols.

Shall stop here for tonight. Will update soon, I hope so.

Changing Chinese Name?

Wow, its been almost a year since my last post. Alot of things happened during the past 1 year. Good and bad. Always wanted to post something here but couldn't think of a good content to write. My current job requires me to write reports every week, hence I don't really have the mood to "write" more here.

Recently, a few of my friends came across my blog. Leo was one of them, he commented that my blog is quite professional and he read it for hours. It is not easy for someone so fidgety like him to sit still and read something for so long, I should be proud of it. hahaha. Really motivates me to start typing again. Thanks Leo! Read through my blog, I realized all my posts were either about eating good food or partying. I really miss those days! This really gives me a good thought about having a work life balance.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I have been consistent and keeps on writing. Probably I am already earning some money every month just from blogging. People seldom blog nowadays, maybe I can get new opportunity from here by blogging more. What I have learnt during my 1 and a half years of working in my current company, it thought me to have positive thinking. haha

**In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.**

Of course, writing down my thoughts is priority, using it to earn money is secondary. Ok, now I sounded fake after what I have written above. haha

Back to my title, my boss have been getting advice from a famous Taiwanese fengshui master. Heard that he is very accurate and also giving advice to many Taiwanese celebrities. Months of advance booking is required to fix appointment with the master. My boss has invited him to our office tomorrow and I've decided to see him to change my name because life hasn't been smooth for me so far. If I don't do it now, probably I'll have to fly all the way to Taiwan to see him the next time.

I know it's all superstitious stuff, I am just very curious about what he has got to say about me just by reading my name and date of birth. Each consultation is freaking $250! But if it changes life for the better, why not? Also, I don't like my name since young. So yes, gonna do it for the fun, curiosity and the hope of having a better life.

It is going through the legalities of changing name giving me the headache. Other than this, I am quite excited!! Ok, got to sleep now. I will update on this tomorrow!   :)

I'm Back but Everyone is Gone

Yes, I back to blog again but I guess the few readers that I've gained has gone. I can't believed that I actually didn't blog for nearly 3 months. Time flies man!

Nothing much happened over the past 3 months. Just busy working like a bull and having company events. Let me show off some pictures before i bore you to death with my grandmother story.

I am glad that some managers actually asked me to join their team night even when I'm not even doing their recruitment for them. much appreciated. =)

So far, I'm happy working in the company. We are not just about having fun, when it comes to work, I do get stressed up. So stressed that the pimples are all growing back and it has to be during the cny season. Fuck. One of my biggest new year resolution for 2013, to have a clear and pimple-free face!

Oh yeah, I've finally changed my hugeass phone! My galaxy tab has been a really good companion for the past 2 years. At first thought of buying Iphone 5 but still ended up buying a Note 2. I've yet to explore the phone yet. Just using it for basic use. I hope I won't regret my choice.

Cny is just a few days away and I haven freaking pack my room! Maybe I should just leave it the way it is and stop people from visiting my house for cny. LOL.

Journey to the Working Society Begins...

I know this title sounds weird as I have graduated like 3 months ago. Even though I have been working part time in between but mostly it was just 1 week kind of work. So doesn't really count as a real job. This time I finally found one full-time job. I am giving myself 3 months to test the waters. Hopefully I can stick to this job for long or that the company will convert me to a confirmed staff. I am really too lazy to look for another new job!

Worked for two weeks already, so far not so good. Colleagues and bosses are really nice people. Its just that my work performance is not that good. Made a big mistake last week as I placed a candidate to the wrong product training. As my director was at overseas, the manager reported the matter through the group whatsapp and I apologised for my mistake. The director replied, "the managers should be held responsible." and the managers began to apologise as well. I felt damn bad la because it was really my mistake for not checking properly and had to implicate the managers. Then I received a private whatsapp from my director stating,

"don't worry. everybody learn from mistake. It's okay to make mistake just don't repeat the same mistake. next time clarify with the managers first."

People around me all telling me its okay and don't worry about it. That makes me felt more guilty and angry at myself for making the stupid mistake. I strongly believed that people cannot be praised. The day before I was still being praised by my managers that I'm very hardworking. The very next day, this shit happened. REALLY IS CANNOT PRAISE ONE. But fortunately, the bosses and colleagues are really forgiving.

Just before I can calm myself down, another problem arises. I can only blamed myself for being a smart aleck. My HR manager asked the admins if anyone knows how to make a photo video. No one answered a thing, I raised my hand and said, "I can".
Because I've made videos before using windows movie maker, I thought it would be a piece of cake. Neither did I expected that it is a GIGANTIC piece of cake that is too hard to swallow. I used two days to create the video using windows movie maker and just when I completed putting 500 photos with music, it just couldn't be saved. Probably due to the huge video size.

So I went to Wei Shan's house to learn making the video using Macbook. Did all the way till midnight and finally managed to save it successfully. Tested the video at the office's TV(thats where they gonna display it), to my horror, it couldn't be supported. I was like,

Spent my entire weekend trying to convert the video to FLV format. Its either the free software can only covert a small size of the video or totally don't work. I even tried to upload to youtube and download the video as FLV version. Did managed to download the video but some of the songs were gone. TELL ME WHAT DID I DO WRONG TO DESERVE THIS.

It was really frustrating but I don't want to just leave it hanging there, I want to complete my job nicely to impress my bosses. lols. Too ambitious huh~ okay la, not impress, at least not causing damage to my image that I'm unprofessional. Last resort, gonna head over to Wei Shan's house and try converting the video. If it still doesn't work, I'll really 死了这条心.

Wish me luck.

Polymates Meetup.

I like this picture alot, its as if we are taking a photoshoot. You know, like the CD cover of a new band. hahahaha. Seriously think too much.

Anyway, meet up with my polymates last week at newly renovated Plaza Singapura for dinner. Dinner was at Hifumi, a Japanese restaurant located at PS new wing, level 4. When I first heard the name of the restaurant over the phone, I was like, "Huh? Sinful Me?". Hifumi and Sinful me. Close enough. LOLS!

If you order a set meal, there will be freeflow of small sidedishes for you to eat till you drop!

Fried Toufu.

Mochi. It was a bit hard than the usual mochi though.

Chawanmushi

Tempura with sour plum.

There are other dishes to choose from besides those that I've mentioned.

Maindishes

Chicken Cutlet with egg

 Pork cutlet with egg.

For my pork cutlet, I think it tasted alright only. Not till the extent where I could finish up everything. Had  quite a few leftover pieces.

Price was quite okay, each person paid around $17 to $20. Taking into consideration the freeflow of side dishes, should be quite worth it! Besides, you can see authentic Japanese chefs and waiters serving you.

After eating, it was time to camwhore.

There was a screen at the side showing the images captured on the CCTVoutside the lift. We stood under the security camera while the guys took the picture from the screen. If the security guard happened to review the CCTV, he/she might be thinking what the hell were these 3 girls doing. I hope we won't get stomped  for this. LOLS.

Also, there was this small area where they have a "PS I <3 U" on the wall. Camwhoring mode activated.

Yin Mei's shaky hands. =(

Xiao Yan suggested the act cool look

followed by a happy look

Had a great time catching up with them. They even planned to meet up for exercise every week. lols. I don't think I can do it. Sunday is a rest day for me! Reason being that I have finally found a job. Just one week of work already made me very stress up. That explains my lack of blog entries. I will blog more frequently once I get the hang of my work and settles down!
