Halloween at Clarke Quay, Our Lucky Day!

Headed over to Clarke Quay last Saturday with Yin Mei as a Halloween event was held over there. Saw lots of people wearing costumes and roaming around. Some people even asked for a picture with random people in costumes. Perhaps that is the only day where you can openly go around taking pictures of strangers without getting beaten up. Except for clubs when people are mostly drunk and will be extremely friendly to take a picture with you if you ask for one. lols.

My scumbag head moved causing the picture to be so blur.

The ghost-head-in-cage looked kind of creepy.

 Decorations around the fountain area

We bought a devil headband!

Next time they could make metal ones so that I can wear it and charge towards the crowd like a bull for them to give way. Idea huh~! lols. Why I said so, because there were alot of people that day, more than the amount of people at the Oktoberfest. Was feeling sweaty even though I've only reached for less than 30mins. Ok la, maybe it's just me, I sweat easily.

I don't even know if it they were hired for the event or just normal passerby

Free hand paintings!

I was surprised that there were actually very few people queuing for the face/hand painting maybe because they didn't know it was FREE. Initially Yin Mei wanted the face painting but I didn't want it because my skin condition is bad enough, I wouldn't want to make it worse. So we went for the hand paintings instead. Yin Mei was supposedly the last person in the queue to get the hand painting and I was behind her. Luckily the painter was kind enough to draw one for me as well!  *Happy*

Took some photos outside The Arena

They even hung a dead dummy on the tree

Wanted to enter a club but all were so expensive that day, $32 per entry. Understandable la, because people with full costumes get to go in for free. Just when we couldn't decide where to go, an angel(she dressed up as an angel) came to us and asked if we wanted to enter Le Noir for free. Of course we said YES! Thank you angel! haha.
Got ourselves "stamp-ed".

The size of the club is exactly what is shown in the picture.

To our surprise, the club is really small. There isn't a proper dancefloor, anywhere with space is the dancefloor.
Some random guy came and took a picture with us.

Ordered a bottle of Heineken

Left Le Noir as there was nothing much to see and we went to Hooters for supper!
Ordered the Hot and Samurai flavour.
Both Yin Mei and I loved the Samurai flavour. Tasted abit like Teriyaki sauce. As for the Hot flavour, not that yummy. A little spicy and sour. They probably added lime to it.

Curly Fries
I think it would taste really great if the fries were hot and crispy. A little disappointed and still must pay $1.90 for the cheese dip.

Yin Mei kept getting distracted by the mask behind me. lols

Don't know why I've such a fair skintone here. Big contrast in both pictures. hahaha

Free beers
A waiter suddenly came to our table with two glasses of beer and said it was from another table. Both Yin Mei and I were shocked. My first time being treated a drink by strangers. lols. FML. Showed our appreciation by going over to the table and toast a drink with them. It was a big group consisting youth and old, men and women. So still okay la. Though it would be best if it was from a group of hunks. LOLS!!

One of them even came over to our table insisting to refill the beer for us. Got free beer still plus refill. But I think the credit goes to Yin Mei because she was the one facing that table whereas I was back facing them. So it's either Yin Mei is too attractive to make them share their beer or I'm a "背"多分 which means I totally have a killer back. If it is the latter, well, seriously FML. LOLS. I'll rather give the credit to Yin Mei.

Number was blurred out due to privacy
This is one more reason why I give the credit to Yin Mei. She must be thinking, "wtf", if she is reading this. LOLS. Before the the group left the restaurant, one of the guys actually came up to us and self-introduced himself that they are from Resort World Singapore. He asked if he could have our numbers to keep in touch. Both of us were like, "uhh......" because he was old enough to be our father. (Now you know why I give the credit to Yin Mei. wahahahaha.).

He wrote down his handphone number for us instead. I actually wanted to ask him was the number meant for us to call him because he has a job to offer at Resort World. How desperate I am for a job. But he was being dragged away by his colleague before I could raise the question. I sincerely hope that it was the reason that he gave us his number and not due to something else because it would be gross. You get what I mean.

Tried to take a picture outside Hooters and we got interrupted by quite a few different people in costumes who came over to "scare" us while we were camwhoring.

With flash

Look so much better without flash

After camwhoring, three guys walked up and engaged in a conversation with us. I wondered what was happening that day. We were suddenly such a hot stuff. LOLS!! Ok la, I'm not that ignorant, I do know clearly that it was mainly because there were only two of us, they thought that we were easy to prey on. Damn it. What a chain of events for the night!

I believe next year's Halloween will be even better because most likely I will get a job by then (hopefully!!) and I will try attending as much Halloween events as possible. I want to try doing a Halloween makeup!! While I can't compete with other girls who dressed up looking sexy and cutesy, I will do a terrifying one to scare away all the hunks from these girls!! wahahahaha.

You have probably seen this at Uss Halloween horror night, but I really like how this youtuber did her neck by painting the "bone" as well. Look really cool and scary isn't it??!! This video is in foreign language but you just need to watch and see how she do it. If I were to do this for Halloween, it would be the most awkward moment where most people will want and queue to take a picture with me because I wouldn't get so much attention as this when I'm using my real or nicely makeup face. fml. lols.

Alright, gonna end the post with a funny picture.
"A squirrel presents a macabre sight while toying with this skull which was put up as a Halloween decoration in a garden in Fareham, Hants."

I saw someone retweeted this and I thought it is funny!!  Was shocked when I first saw this picture but after reading the paragraph, I laughed.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Oktoberfest 2012 at Clark Quay!

I'm kinda late in blogging about the Oktoberfest which I had attended last Saturday with Yin Mei. I was abit lazy to get out of my house that day but I thought that it would be wasted to spend my weekends at home. So I still went out anyway hoping to soak myself into the Oktoberfest atmosphere at Clark Quay. I didn't regret my decision. =)

The event was held at the foundation area of Clark Quay. Long tables were placed in the middle with different kinds of booths ranging from food to games surrounding the area. There was even live band playing songs to heighten the atmosphere. I think this is a good idea as it allows anyone from anywhere to just come in and join the fun like a family.

Got ourselves a cup of beer for $14 each.

Live band playing

I quite like this picture. hehe

Bought some sausages to share

Some cup tower game.

Yin Mei scooping madly for prize. lols
Yin Mei and this Caucasian lady were focused on scooping coloured chips which represent different prizes. There was a part where both of them saw a coloured chip and were fighting madly for it. Yin Mei went to the extent of using her hand to snatch the chip! LOLS! My first time seeing Yin Mei being so competitive. Her hardwork paid off, she won herself a $10 voucher from HOOTERS. Now we know why she has so many vouchers to use. hahaha.

Free balloons to take

The Oktoberfest was indeed a fun and eye-opening experience for me. This is one of the reason why I love Singapore as we are living in a multi-cultural/nationality country, we can get to enjoy and experience different festivals from various cultures and countries.

I am going to Universal Studios for Halloween later!! So pumped up to get myself haunt by the "ghosts"!! Gonna get my camera fully charged and hopefully I will be able to come up with a really interesting blog post for it. Stay tuned! =D

Johnnie Walker Circuit Lounge 2012, Keep Partying

Last Sunday, I was invited to attend the exclusive Johnnie Walker Circuit Lounge 2012 at Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome. Thanks to Yin Mei, who is always so enthusiastic in participating contests to win tickets for party events!

The stylish entry pass and card case.
There was a time where I was working part time at an insurance company dealing with credit cards privileges, a customer called to enquire about getting tickets to this event. I overheard my colleague said that it was an exclusive event and there was no way to buy the tickets. At that moment, I was like smiling to myself thinking, "hell yeah, I'm going to the event. neh ni neh ni poo poo." LOLS. I even saw someone's blog saying that the tickets were sold for 1k online. Thats how exclusive this event was.

As Yin Mei won four tickets, she invited Xiu Xuan, Leo and I along. We met up early to get a parking lot at Marina Barrage and headed over Marina Bay Sands for dinner.

With our pass

Had our dinner at Au Chocolat. You can read my reviews about the restaurant here.

I ordered Duck Confit again. Under my influence, Xiu Xuan ordered the same thing too. It is simply a dish to die for!!

Gave Leo a small piece of my Duck Confit to try and he regretted his choice of ordering the beef stew. That explains his sad face here. lols. As usual, Yin Mei skipping maincourse to eat crepes instead. This time we ordered truffle fries to share. I LOVE THEIR TRUFFLE FRIES. Especially with the mayonnaise and bbq sauce. Heavenly~

After dinner, it was time to paint the town red! Everyone was queuing outside the circuit lounge to take pictures with the beautiful ladies.

Besides attending the event for free, there were freeflow of Johnnie Walker cocktails as well! Drink till we drop! Three special cocktail creations for selection.

Left to right: Singapore Soda, Johnnie Yuzu Sour and Walker Colada

I loved the Yuzu Sour the most. Its a very refreshing drink with sweetness and a tinge of sour taste. Singapore Soda taste weird with pandan syrup and felt like vomiting after a few mouthfuls. lols. As for the Colada, it was too creamy due to the coconut cream. I believe most people at the event did prefer the Yuzu Sour as well because I wanted to get my second cup after trying all 3 flavours, they ran out of it. Luckily they did serve coke+black label, something for me to drink through the night. haha

In addition, their photo booths were amazing. The "join the pact" photo booth enabled us to take pictures and to sign the pact by pressing the laser and waving the wand like magic! The "wand" don't even need to touch the screen.

The best thing about it was that all pictures taken from the photo booths would be automatically posted on your facebook wall just by inserting your entry pass into the machine. So high-tech right?! Fyi, before the event, we were required to register online using our facebook page.

My cute friends

There was one part where Xiu Xuan, Yin Mei and I came back from the toilet to see Leo in a depressed state. He told us that two hot girls came to him and asked if he was alone but he replied that he was with friends so they ended up joining another table. He regretted like hell. LOLS!

Hot right. haha

Decided to play some games as we were abit bored.

The person who lost would have to take a picture with people from another table and Leo insisted that it had to be people of the opposite sex. Thats what he have been wishing for, to compensate for the incident earlier. More like a benefit than forfeit. I don't know if I should feel fortunate or the other way round because I seldom lose when playing drinking games but that day, I lost terribly.

Look at his smile. So happy. lols.

I guess deep inside I'm quite happy. My hand and smile show it all. LOLS.
This group of guys happened to stand beside our table, so I just went forward and asked for a picture. Don't know where I got my courage from. I guess I was getting high after all the drinks. One of the caucasians was kind enough to take a group photo for us.

I even asked the waiter for help.

One of the guys even put his hat on my head.

Xiu Xuan asking the crew to help as well.

Forfeit never felt so great like this. lols!

Yin Mei is normally the one losing especially playing 7-up but this time she only lost one game!

This guy join us for the game as well.

Leo continue to lose the game.

The lucky Xiu Xuan, this guy quite good looking. hahaha!

When I saw this picture, I'm like wtf, like some boss with his mistress.

The last forfeit

A picture with Xiu Xuan's friend who happened to be there as well.

Yin Mei acting cute. hahaha

Last picture at the photo booth before we left the place.

Johnnie Walker, Keep walking.

Overall, it was one hell night of fun! Freeflow of drinks, finger food and photos!! It was the first time where I'm a goner, totally had no recollection of some incidents that happened that night. Blame myself for drinking 7 glasses of cocktails + 1 full cup on the rock. But at least NOT till the extent of lying flat on the floor and require my friends to carry me out. LOLS.

To be frank, I was abit shocked when I saw some of the forfeit pictures. Like why I looked so slutty in some of them. LOLS! I even thought of not uploading the pictures on facebook because my relatives might have negative things to comment. In the end, I still uploaded anyway because I think its okay to just party and have fun. Its not like I was making out or hugging with guys in the pictures. My conscience is clear, I don't have to answer to anyone and thats probably one of the perks of being single.

Once again, thanks Yin Mei for the tickets and my friends for the awesome experience!!! =D
